LAMP

LAMP is an essential inspection tool for identifying infiltration and inflow, solids accumulation, root infiltration, pipe defects, and the structural condition of lateral services and mainline sewers!

The self-propelled LAMP accomplishes a one pass pan and tilt inspection of the mainline ranging from 6" through 24" diameter, with a simultaneous inspection of the adjacent lateral services up to 80 ft.! Equipped with two high resolution cameras, the LAMP picture in picture feature enables the operator to monitor the pan and tilt inspection of the mainline and launch a camera from the mainline to inspect the adjacent lateral service. LAMP is used in the horizontal boring industry for precise locating of lateral services, avoiding costly damage to the existing infrastructure during the boring process. LAMP is also used to verify the quality of rehabilitation processes such as lateral and mainline relining and spot repair. The system can be mounted in a truck or retrofitted to most existing truck mounted CCTV systems.

Lateral / Mainline Self-Propelled Camera Launcher
• Launcher is self-propelled with forward, freewheel, and powered reverse – 60 ft. per minute maximum forward speed
• Lateral camera launches, extends, and retracts at a maximum speed of 30 ft. per minute
• Displays mainline and lateral footage on screen and video tape/CD
• Launcher optically centers the camera in the pipe above most flow and debris lines
• Launcher contains variable weight extenders that increase weight (traction) and bottom clearance as the pipe diameter increases
• Launcher rotates to position lateral camera for entry, monitored by pan and tilt camera and picture in picture video display
• Robust 83 ft. combination push / video cable for lateral camera, enclosed and protected by a stainless steel sheath
• Length of the launcher with pan and tilt camera and lateral camera to include connectors is less than 37" long
