The SmartCover® monitoring system consists of the
following components:

The SmartCover® Unit, which includes all the
electronics, communications and the SmartCover®
Power Pack.
A mounting bracket, which may be mounted either

mechanically to hatch lids or doors, or magnetically
using industrial high powered magnets to the
underside of iron manhole covers.
A sensor, connected to the SmartCover® Unit, that

hangs below and continuously measures water level
An intrusion sensor that determines if the manhole
cover has been lifted.
A flush-mounted, traffic-rated antenna.
Real-time wireless communications to your cell
phones, pagers, PDAs, or other mobile hand-held units
Access to your SmartCover® data and system through
a highly secure web site.
